Robot

As a builder, we create the construction elements of the robot. We will start by identifying a problem that needs fixing, then visualize how the robot can solve this problem. (This year's problem being we have to isolate the infected cells and vaccinate the other cells.)  By seeing what the robot needs to do, we can then make some designs. After that, the building team will decide what design to go with. After that, we will start the creation of the robot. This includes making the body as well as any functional parts. We identify the problems and then improve the robot from there,

Marketing

We as marketers are responsible for the business side of things. Company logo, website design, public outreach, marketing presentation, and our exhibit. Anyway that we represent our brand is left to marketing.

Programming

Programming is an important part of creating our robot because we create the instructions that tell the robot what to do. We get to learn about the program RobotC and control our robot with it. For example, this year we distribute vaccines through a maze. All of the wiring and controls is up to coding.

About

Rural Responders

Rural Responders is the Northern Cass Robotics Team, aka NCRT, Department that is competing in the 2020 West Texas Best robotics competition. The goal of our robot is to vaccinate as many "cells" as possible on the game field. We document this process through our engineering notebook as we build and code the robot. That is only one half of BEST robotics, however. We also need to create a marketing presentation that presents Rural Responders as a brand, and Vaxx, our robot as a product. We attempt to sell this product to the panel of judges. There is also the exhibit which is for the public to come and see our company and is being done virtually this year. We reach out to the community to give us information as well as asking for sponsorships.
